Responsibilities

The role of the head of the industrial design department is to lead and expand the industrial design department. It covers from staff management, strategy development and planning, marketing and customer relations to performing industrial design duties. The role reports to the company’s user experience director.

Requirements

Education and experience:

• Master degree in Industrial design.
  
• Minimum five year industrial design experience in mobile wireless terminals or relevant consumer products.
  
• Must have built and led an industrial design team.
  
• Must have a proven track record in industrial design and an outstanding portfolio.
  

  General qualification:
  

• Strong people leadership skills.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  
• A great team player.
  
• Ability to manage customer relations and to sell.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects according to budget, time and agreed scope.
  

  Industrial design skills:
  

• Great sense of form & proportion.
  
• Strong conceptual visualisation/sketching skills .
  
• Creative Problem Solving.
  
• 2D (Photoshop/Illustrator).
  
• Good knowledge in mechanical and manufacturing processes.
  

  The position is located in Stockholm, Sweden.
  It involves some international travels.
